Installation

Installing a SlowStop® Bollard takes just minutes using relatively common power tools on concrete surfaces.  It is a four step process once you have determined the correct position:

  1. Drill four (Type 1 and Type 2) or eight (Type 3) 5/8" holes in the concrete.

  2. Place the elastomer, adapter, then base on top of each other.

  3. Tighten the concrete anchors.

  4. Insert the bollard and tighten set-screws.

That's it!  In most cases, a bollard can be installed in about 15 minutes.  SlowStop® Bollards are also re-usable.  Simply remove the anchors, fill the old holes with epoxy, and move it to your new location.  No more core drilling.  No more broken and patched concrete.

We like the SlowStop products and are looking to standardize our plant with them.

So far we’ve installed several of the bollards and have been impressed with the durability. We will be installing the remainder in higher traffic, problem areas in the near future.
